How good can it get? When brands in the bid to outshine others continuously develop top of the line cars. Thus, making more options for the market. Audi takes its move to embrace future car trends.

According to Motor1, Spy shots reveal the next-gen Audi Q7 test mule, spotted on the road, showcases a wider track compared to the current model.

It's also important to note that this Audi Q7 test mule was seen pulling a dynamometer. Based on these results, the 2025 Audi Q7 will be very different.

Audi will only release electric vehicles after 2026, therefore this model is one of the last combustion-powered ones.

Car Expert cited Automotive News report. It provides additional confirmation that the Q7 will soon be released, in addition to the prospect of an even larger SUV that will be called as the Q9. Both of these models are expected to be among the last of Audi's combustion-powered vehicles. Audi has made a bold commitment to embrace an all-electric lineup by 2033, although this transition will not apply to the Chinese market.

It is said that Audi will add electrification through mild-hybrid powertrains to the Q7's powertrain choices. However, as the existing model has plug-in hybrid models in several markets, it's fair to expect them for the next-gen Audi Q7 as the firm evolves its lineup.

2026 Audi E-Tron GT: Updates

Motor Authority got the latest buzz about 2026 Audi E-Tron GT. The Audi E-Tron GT is due for a facelift, as seen in recent camouflage-covered prototypes spotted during testing in Germany. This electric performance sedan, developed by Audi Sport and closely linked to the Porsche Taycan, shares an EV platform known as the J1.

While the Taycan arrived in the U.S. as a 2020 model and the E-Tron GT as a 2022 model, the refreshed Taycan is set to launch earlier, as a 2025 model. The updated E-Tron GT is expected to follow in 2025, likely as a 2026 model.

The facelifted E-Tron GT features new front and rear fascias, with the front design creating a wider visual appearance. Interior updates are anticipated, potentially focusing on the infotainment system. The car may also include Volkswagen Group's matrix LED headlights for better visibility.

Although powertrain changes are unclear, the introduction of a new battery could lead to increased range and power discharge capability. Audi has already introduced an extended-range battery option in its 2024 Q8 E-Tron SUV.

Performance-wise, the RS E-Tron GT variant currently leads the lineup with a peak output of 637 hp in boost mode (normally 597 hp), offering rapid acceleration from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of around 155 mph. The standard E-Tron GT achieves a peak output of 522 hp in boost mode (normally 496 hp). Both models come equipped with a 93.4-kWh battery, providing an estimated EPA range of about 249 miles.

Considering the presence of a hardcore version of the Porsche Taycan, it raises the possibility that Audi may also offer an even more extreme variant of its flagship EV in the future.
