Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a new accessory package for the T7 VW Multivan, a gas-powered minivan not available in the United States. The Good Night package targets adventurers and regular campers seeking camper van comfort without the price tag. This package converts the standard Multivan interior into a cozy bedroom featuring a fold-out bed. Starting at approximately $3,100, additional camping table and chairs are also available for a slightly higher cost.

Good Night Package for Camping Adventure

As per CarBuzz report, the Good Night Package is available in two variants. The 'basic' option includes a fold-out bed, curtain storage solutions, blackout window shades including for the panoramic sunroof, and front side window ventilation grilles. The full package includes two folding chairs and a camping table.

Crafted specifically for the Multivan, the fold-out bed is tailored to be 79.5 inches in length and 47.6 inches in width, providing ample room for two adults to rest comfortably. The mattress is supported by a slatted frame that attaches to the vehicle's structure rather than the seats, facilitating easy installation in the rear by simply folding the seats flat. Alternatively, the rear seats can be taken out for additional space.

Volkswagen has optimized storage space under the bed in the Multivan, enhancing its practicality. The Good Night package offers versatility for weekend getaways, music festivals, and surf trips, featuring ample storage for a surfboard. Though not as luxurious as a Mercedes camper van, it still maintains a cool appeal.

What More it Offers, Pricing

As reported by CarScoops, the German automaker has unveiled the fresh "Good Night" package for the standard Multivan. This transformation package enables swift and simple conversion of the interior into a bedroom, offering a cost-effective alternative to full camper van amenities like a kitchen or a pop-up tent.

To guarantee you have a restful night's sleep, the Good Night pack comes with other essentials in addition to the sleeping surface. Included in that is mosquito netting for the front side windows, which allows for ventilation without making you a bug feast. The set also includes blackout curtains to protect you from the morning sun if you'd rather stay in. Even the optional panoramic sunroof is blocked by these curtains, so you can unwind after stargazing.

The first option is priced at roughly equivalent to US$3,100 based on current exchange rates or €2,867.90 and encompasses all the mentioned elements. The second Good Night package supplements camping chairs and a table, totaling approximately US$3,600 or €3,355.80.

Volkswagen Multivan

As per Autocar, the T7 Volkswagen Multivan is part of a trio of commercial-type vehicles succeeding the T6 VW Transporter. The other two replacements are the all-electric VW ID Buzz and a collaborative van venture between VW and Ford.

These departures mark significant deviations from the traditional lineage, making the T7 Multivan the sole VW model directly linked to the brand's original air-cooled, rear-engine heritage.

The Multivan offers two trims: the standard Life version featuring petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options including the eHybrid, and the more upscale Style variant that includes diesel and hybrid choices, with a 2.0 petrol option instead of the 1.5 variant.
