Infiniti has announced a two-row SUV as a contender to the Lexus RX.

The automaker is also planning to upgrade its lineup by releasing the new QX65 in 2026, as per The Truth About Cars. The unit would have a sportier look and smaller size compared to the three-row QX60 SUV.

However, the QX65 would still implement the QX60's four-cylinder engine and would have a curvier appearance than the former.

Infiniti is also looking to produce its first-ever electric vehicle, which involves the close consideration of a hybrid variant of the Nissan Rogue.

The company's catalog needed improvement to catch up to competitors, leading it to direct its focus to EV production in 2023. Along the process, the automaker has cut some nameplates from its product line.

The production would also lead Infiniti to take a breather from the sedan segment, as the companty concluded the Q50's production. According to Automotive News, Infiniti Americas Vice President Craig Keeys told North American dealers that the project would signify "a new dawn."

Steve Lapin, the Chairman of Infiniti's National Dealer Advisory Board, said earlier that the vehicle has "an aggressive design that won't appeal to the soccer mom."

Meanwhile, Lexus has offered the Black Line Special Edition for its best-selling RX 500h F SPORT Performance model. The vehicle features an Incognito scheme and black styling for its exterior. It is also equipped with 21-inch wheels with orange brake calipers.

The high-performance vehicle is accompanied by MacPherson struts that ensure sharp turns and great handling. The engine, which implements a hybrid 271-hp 2.4-liter turbocharged component, is paired with a six-speed gearbox, Power Control Unit, and electric motor.

The Black Line package would also have adaptive cruise control and a 9.8-inch touchscreen display. However, the standard screen could also be upgraded into a 14-inch high-definition display.
