The Cybertruck's stainless-steel hood is exposed in a viral 'carrot test,' demonstrating its potential to sever a finger. The phenomenon, known as the 'guillotine effect,' is linked to the electric vehicle's slender body panels. Since its late 2023 launch, the Cybertruck has received both positive and negative feedback. A recent video suggests that a design flaw may result in severe injuries, with a carrot as the key demonstration object.

Carrot Test, Chopping Fingers

A viral video by TikToker Antonio Chianese highlights a significant safety concern related to the Cybertruck's trunk hood. New Tesla Cybertruck owners should exercise caution when closing the vehicle's doors and its front-facing trunk, made of sleek stainless steel.

According to reports, the response to the highly-anticipated Cybertruck has been mixed, with some owners expressing dissatisfaction. Messages are being sent to the lengthy list of reservation holders, encouraging them to physically inspect the pickup, as many haven't done so yet.

Reviewers put Tesla's $80 ,000 Cybetruck into test. It includes the now-famous 'carrot test' and other tests using items like hot dogs and bananas, to simulate potential risks to passengers' hands and fingers. These experiments have unveiled a disturbing 'guillotine effect' associated with the Cybertruck.

Unlike Tesla's Model X and rival electric trucks like Ford's F-150 Lightning, Tesla's $80,000 Cybertruck, which has faced manufacturing issues, lacks anti-pinch sensors.

In the experiment, the sharp contours of the Cybertruck effortlessly sliced through the orange vegetable, symbolizing an unsuspecting finger, with remarkable ease. The Cybertruck's design appears to pose a potential risk of causing severe injuries to individuals.

A question was raised by one individual, pondering how this particular design received approval. On the other hand, some individuals contended that any automated closing mechanism would produce similar results when tested.

Comments, Concerns on Tesla Cybertruck

It wasn't the first time that Tesla's Cybetruck received negative reviews and reports involving safety concerns.

A recent report from Unilad says a number of users on platform X have expressed their dissatisfaction with Elon Musk's assertion regarding the Cybertruck. They have raised concerns about the limited trunk space when compared to competing vehicles and the absence of a spare tire.

One user's comment on the platform shared his thoughts, that the Cybertruck falls short in this regard, and it's a source of disappointment. He talked about the storage capacity beneath the truck bed which is deemed inadequate or improperly proportioned, especially given the considerable size of the vehicle. The user stated that it's worth noting that Tesla had a clean slate for design decisions.

Another report cited Tesla's most common issues such as unexpected loss of power and manufacturing that falls short of expectations or expected standards. Additionally, it was reported that the average annual report for Tesla repairs estimate to $590.
