Toyota and Suzuki are developing an innovative European electric SUV for 2024. Toyota Urban SUV is their latest idea. Their new electric vehicle line is shown. European sales of this city-friendly SUV begin next year.

Collaborative Strategy

A Suzuki model may have influenced it. Toyota has a unique front design, although both cars seem alike. Toyota wants to send six electric cars to Europe by 2026.

This strategic alliance between Toyota and Suzuki aims to boost electrified SUVs. The Urban SUV offers European buyers' choices. Drive layout and size vary. Their desire to find green transportation is clear.

Toyota and Suzuki's alliance shows their commitment to Europe's electric SUV market. When the Urban SUV debuts in 2024, Future Car and Drive claim European customers will have many attractive and sustainable mobility options.

The roots of this collaboration run deep, with Toyota holding a 5 percent stake in Suzuki, and past joint ventures have yielded rebadged models for the European market, such as the Suzuki Across and Swace, which are based on Toyota's RAV4 SUV and Corolla wagon models.

The two manufacturers' partnership indicates they can combine capacities for mutual benefit. This unusual design measures 4300mm long, 1820mm broad, and 1620mm tall. In the fast-growing electric SUV sector, its size between the little C-HR and the Yaris Cross makes it appealing.

Toyota lets customers customize their automobiles with battery capacities and drivetrains. Toyota says its product identity depends on all-wheel drive in its media release. The reports learned that this one-of-a-kind pattern is 4300 mm long, 1820 mm wide, and 1620 mm high.

Its size between the little C-HR and the Yaris Cross makes it a good electric SUV option in a fast-growing market. Finally, Toyota and Suzuki's electric SUVs will change European car manufacturing.

Due to their shared goal and collaboration, these enterprises will introduce new, eco-friendly transportation options. As Toyota gets rid of gasoline and hybrid cars by 2035, this link is important for Europe's move toward a cleaner and more electric future.

Latest Competitor on the Way

Based on  Car Magazine , the Urban SUV Concept exhibits a distinctive, upright compact crossover design, intending to position it as a suitable counterpart to the Yaris Cross, which utilizes hybrid power.

Despite appearing slightly larger than the existing 'self-charging' small SUV available for purchase, it maintains a compact footprint and offers an elevated driving position, catering to the preferences of urban customers.

Yoshihiro Nakata, President and CEO of Toyota Europe, emphasizes the model's alignment with the demands of urban environments and its potential significance as a major contributor to the company's Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) sales in Europe.

Regarding performance specifications, Toyota has provided limited information, but they have affirmed that the production variant will provide consumers with the choice of two distinct battery sizes and the option of both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations.

As Andrea Carlucci states, "This offering is our response to the increasing popularity of the B-SUV category in the European market. Given our success with the Yaris Cross, we are fully committed to maintaining a competitive edge in the realm of battery electric vehicles."

This vehicle is seen as a new competitor for vehicles such as the Vauxhall Mokka Electric, Jeep Avenger, Smart #1, and the forthcoming Ford Puma EV.
