Cadillac has increased the starting price of its revamped Escalade SUV by $5,700.

Automotive News reported Thursday that the Cadillac unit was updated for 2025, but it will come with a starting price of $89,590 for its Luxury trim, which is a rear-wheel-drive model.

Based on a pricing list from Cadillac, the 2025 version of the SUV will indeed come with an $89,590 starting price for the basic rear-wheel-drive Luxury model. The vehicle originally cost $83,890.

Meanwhile, the 4wd base model, which initially cost $86,890, would now have an increased price of $92,590. The automaker also stated that the price increase is a result of all six trims now acquiring both standard and premium technology features.

The SUV is powered by gasoline and its design is inspired by Cadillac's EV outlines. This also includes the highly anticipated Escalade IQ and ultra-luxury Celestiq sedan.

The 2025 Escalade SUV will include a 55-inch display screen, a 19-speaker AKG Studio sound system and a Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system from General Motors. Excluding the Luxury, other trims have the standard head-up display.

Moreover, both Platinum and V-Series trims can be availed with the standard power doors. The 4wd's Premium Luxury Platinum trim will have a starting price of $121,390. However, 4WD's Sport trim received the smallest price increase. It costs $102,390, nudged by an additional $1,200.

The V-Series with AWD feature was increased by an extra $7,700, leading to a price of $161,990. This year, General Motors' Texas assembly facility will begin the production of the upgraded Escalade and longer-wheelbase Escalade ESV.

In other news, Cadillac released the Opulent Velocity concept on Monday. The concept is a testament to Cadillac's innovation for its EVs. The exterior includes a low structure, a Gilded Pearl color scheme and LED lights. The interior also has eye-catching lighting elements that are embedded in the dashboard and doors.
