Lexus makes significant moves before the year ends. The brand files for several trademarks and aims to offer SUVs in a cheaper, more affordable price range while maintaining its standards.

Lexus RZ Variations

CarBuzz reported that the well-known company Lexus has recently made big steps forward in the electric SUV market. It's a big step toward giving buyers more engine choices that the company has asked for trademarks for different versions of its Lexus RZ electric SUV.

Patents have been given for options like the RZ350e, RZ500e, and RZ550e. By adding all of these, customers could choose from more power. The US Patent and Trademark Office said that these applications were sent to the US and many other countries.

This innovation promises to enhance both the range and performance of these electric SUVs. The RZ350e is likely to be built in a way that is similar to the RZ300e.The new power pack will make it more useful, though. It will be bigger and have better technology.

Furthermore, there is a tantalizing possibility that the Lexus RZ Sport Concept might transition from its concept phase into a production model, specifically the RZ500e. While Lexus has publicly stated its intentions to refrain from producing a high-performance RZ F-Sport, history has shown that automakers sometimes employ such tactics to conceal their plans for upcoming models.

Moreover, the Sport Concept boasts a remarkable setup featuring two 150 kW motors, delivering a combined output of 402 electric horsepower. In contrast, the standard RZ450e employs a 150-kW motor at the front and a less potent 80 kW motor at the rear.

The RZ450e is an excellent vehicle, but it only has a short range. The RZ500e, on the other hand, is a strong competitor to cars like the Tesla Model Y Performance and the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT.

One interesting trend is the growing use of tri-motor systems. Lexus's move into these trademark applications is an exciting step forward in their quest to become fully electric, giving customers who want environmentally friendly and fast SUVs more options.

About RZ300e

Inside EVs cited CarBuzz's report. According to it, CarBuzz discovered these trademark filings with both the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. The RZ300e, the less powerful RZ series, is intriguing.

Since the RZ300e shares a platform with the RZ, its engine is likely to be from one of the current RZ variants. The RZ450e boasts two powerful motors that provide 308 horsepower and 320 lb-ft.It takes 5.6 seconds to reach 62 mph.

As the RZ300e's "cheaper price tag" hints, Lexus may be offering a cheaper option. Lexus intends to update and add to the R series to appeal to more SUV aficionados, but the car industry is still waiting for additional information.

InsideEVs stated that its sure, one of these powertrains that will find its way into the RZ300e, and we expect it to be the all-wheel drive powertrain. Even for a base model, buyers may find a front-wheel drive RZ not premium enough a proposition, even if Lexus does offer a front-wheel drive electric version of the smaller UX, which is badged UX300e, coinciding with the recent trademark filing.
